Graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Mr. Duarte served as BTG Pactual’s Managing Director Partner for 15 years where he led the institution’s infrastructure division, overseeing fundraising and investment fund management. Furthermore, he structured and led the energy trading desk. Between 2020 and 2021, he held an executive director position at Itaú Unibanco. Previously, from 1998 to 2004, he worked at the Brazilian subsidiary of Southern Co., managing the American utility’s investments in Brazil, particularly in Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (CEMIG), where he held a seat on the Board of Directors for five years.

His professional highlights also include active participation in representative industry entities, having served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Energy Traders (ABRACEEL), as well as serving on the boards of numerous other companies in Brazil.

Graduated in Economics from UFRJ, Mr. Franco began his career at BTG Pactual, where he worked for 18 years and became a Partner in the Private Equity division. He managed investment funds for BTG, structuring and executing investments in infrastructure assets across Latin America, with over $3 billion in proprietary and third-party capital. The sectors included transportation, energy, water, and sanitation, among others. Bruno was directly responsible for deal execution, including M&A and project finance operations. He also managed and served as principal of an energy fund for its entire period (full cycle – Investment, management and divestment). Along other roles he acted as a board member for several portfolio companies in the transmission and power generation sectors. From 2012 to 2015, he held the position of CFO at Latin America Power, where he was responsible for fundraising and securing debt to develop 300 MW of renewable power plants in Latin America.

With over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, Mr. Romano has successfully implemented more than 2.7 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy projects across Latin America and the United States. He previously worked at American Electric Power (AEP), where he led the integration of renewable energy projects into the company’s regulated portfolio in the U.S.

Before this, Mr. Romano served as CEO of Aela Energia in Chile, overseeing a 300 MW renewable portfolio for two years. He also co-founded and served as COO of Latin America Power (LAP), a renewable energy company operating in Chile and Peru. Earlier in his career, he was the Engineering and Construction Director at ERSA, now CPFL Renewables, in Brazil.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from FAAP in Brazil, a Master’s degree in Geotechnics from EP/USP in Brazil, and an MBA from IBMEC in Brazil.

Graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 1999. He joined Mundie e Advogados as an associate from 2000 to 2009 and became a partner in 2010, specializing in administrative law, energy, project implementation, and contracts. He also serves as a board member of the Brazilian Institute of Energy Law (IBDE).

Graduated in Global Financial Management from Regent’s University in 2015, Mrs. Ruete began her career at BTG Pactual, where she worked in the Commodities and Wealth Management divisions for four years. She later joined Enfini Ventures as an Investment and Investor Relations Analyst until the end of 2022.

Graduated in Accounting from PUC-SP and Business Administration from Universidade Paulista (UNIP), Fernanda holds a postgraduate degree in Accounting, Controllership, and Finance (CEFIN) from FIPECAFI. She has extensive experience in compliance, finance, administration, and operations. Her career includes roles at Banco Santander, Renova Energia, Clime Trading, Paulista Energia, and Banco ABC Brasil.
